We are currently recruiting an IT Technical analyst based in Old Trafford, Manchester..

Pay Rate: £15.82 PAYE
Working Hours: 37.5

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensures the successful delivery and installation of end user computing devices on-site.
• Maintains a forward schedule of installation work.
• Reviews resource requirements and requests and manages temporary staff as necessary.
• Provides 2nd line of support for troubleshooting IT issues, answering queries and providing advice.
• Accountable for break/fix, configuration issues, troubleshooting, software / hardware installations, backups, testing and hardware repair, often ‘on-site’.
• Uses the IT Service Management Tool to receive record, progress and close down work requests.
• Undertakes initial assessment of work requests by considering existing work already undertaken by 1st line of support, suppliers and others.
• Provides effective escalation and hand-over of customer enquiries/problems to the correct resolver group, communicating accurate information.
• Where appropriate consults the knowledge management database, undertakes research and liaises / co-ordinates the suppliers to assist towards resolving issues.
• Performs local administration and operations functions, arranges the packaging and remote installation of software to the business.
• Keeps the customer up-to-date regarding the on-going status of their incident / service request. Engages with the customers in a professional and courteous manner, simplifying and translating technical information to non-technical staff.
• Ensures customer satisfaction that issues have been resolved, before closing them down as complete.
• Plans, prioritises and organises the installation, repair, decommission and disposal of IT equipment (software / hardware) to the business, within agreed timescales. Agrees dates with customers, keeping them informed of changes.
• Coordinates the delivery and/or installation of IT equipment by vendors or where suitable schedules this for Technical Operations Analyst to undertake.
• Provides management information and recommendations for service improvement.
• Represents the Technical Operations Manager as appropriate and when required.
