We are currently recruiting for a property data officer in Kent. 

 

Pay rate:  PAYE £ 17.00 per hour/UMB £21.11 per hour

Hours:  Full time: 37 hrs Hybrid working role with 3 days in office and 2 days working from home.

Contract duration: Temporary ongoing

Department: Housing, Planning and Regeneration.

 

Purpose:

Our client is delivering a programme of transformation for its property function which implements a corporate landlord model for property management.  Our client is purchasing new systems to better manage its property data and requires a data officer to support the migration of data between systems whilst also performing tasks to cleanse the data an ensure that the new system only receives correct and good quality data inputs.

 

Duties: 

  • To support automated and manual data migration activities for implementation of new property management databases.
  • To help design and deliver processes for data cleansing that ensures data is of an acceptable standard before being migrated into new systems.
  • To work with colleagues from a range of disciplines to gather, review and update information held about the client’s properties and ensure that all complete and accurate information is held about the estate.
  • To manually input data where required.
  • To research and support the production of procedures for maintaining and managing data during and after the migration and to identify key dates for review or renewal of data
  • Review ownership records, documents and datasets to extract the relevant information to enable property to be effectively managed and maintained.

  • To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required in the post or Department or any of the Department’s establishments.

 

Experience 

  • Experience of data inputting activities
  • Experience of project administration or support
  • Experience of working within a programme or project team
  • Experience of understanding which issues you can resolve or where escalation may be necessary to resolve an issue.
  • Experience of providing central processing, monitoring and validation of data with the objective of providing consistent and up-to-date information.

 

Skills:

  • Supporting data transitions from numerous formats into one single format to support data migration.
  • Proven ability to establish constructive working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to research, collect and organise information.
  • Excellent research, data collection and analysis skills
  • Good numeracy skills and the ability to analyse and accurately interpret complex datasets.
  • Proven ability to organise, prioritise and maintain workloads in the most effective way.
  • Ability to think creatively and problem solve.

 

Knowledge:

  • Technical knowledge of providing data input and driving data improvements
  • Knowledge of databases and reporting functions
  • Knowledge of legislation, regulations and best practice for managing a local authority property is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office programmes including an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • An understanding and commitment to the client’s policies on Equal Opportunities
