We are currently recruiting for a Homeless Prevention Caseworker in Hillingdon.

 

Pay rate: PAYE 17.53 per hour/UMB 21.76 per hour

Hours:  Office hours are 9:00am – 5:00pm

Contract duration: Temporary ongoing

Department: Housing options duty service

 

Purpose:

An experienced Housing Options/ Prevention/Homelessness Assessment Officer who can hit the ground running working with minimal supervision on a backlog of Part VII application initially. Our client offers flexible working arrangements. Candidate should expect to be office based 50% of the time once they have completed an office-based induction period which normally takes two weeks to complete depending on level of competency.

 

Duties: 

As the backlog of cases clears, candidate will be expected to be part of the Housing Options duty Service, completing assessment, and carrying out respective prevention and relief work. As well as, managing a varied caseload Knowledge of Part VII Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act and other relevant legislation and statute is required along with experience of carrying out homelessness enquires, casework and drafting s184 decision letters.

 

Experience: 

Candidates will be required to demonstrate they have practical experience of delivering in a pressurised Housing Options Services and is manage the multiple demands and pressures of the service.
