AML & Data Protection Officer (Guernsey)

We are currently recruiting an AML & Data Protection Officer based in Guernsey on a Permanent basis.
This role will be at Mid-Level Management.
£75,000-£80,000 per year, Private Health Care & A Company Bonus of 20%. (20% tax applies in Guernsey)

Responsibilities:
• Be responsible for designing and carrying out AML/CTF and Data Protection risk assessments across the Group (the Group currently operates in Italy, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Malta, Guernsey and the UK).
• On the back of those risk assessments, review and assess the current AML/CTF and Data Protection policies, procedures and controls in place across the Group and revise and update the same as necessary to ensure their effectiveness (such reviews to be undertaken at regular intervals going forward).
• Monitor and supervise the Suspicious Activity Report processes.
• Deal with all Data Subject Access Requests;
• Manage any data breach incidents that arise across the Group;
• Be an integral part of liaison with regulators, other relevant authorities and third parties (including the Group’s banks) in relation to money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, data protection and other related matters.
• Monitor and review all AML/CTF and Data Protection changes to EU and national laws that affect the Group’s business and update policies, procedures and controls accordingly.
• Be responsible for assessing and meeting all AML/CTF training needs of the relevant employees of the Group (preparing and delivering training as appropriate)
• Liaise with country managers and key stakeholders in the Group in relation to the above.
• The Officer will be based at the Group’s dedicated Compliance Office in Guernsey and report into the Director of Group Legal Services & Compliance (who is also based in Guernsey)
