Full-time, part-time and compressed hours are available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Contract: <\/strong>Temporary ongoing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Purpose: <\/strong>An Investigative Assistant for a historic child sexual exploitation investigation with victims who lived in care homes between the ages of 13 to 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct investigations, obtaining and reviewing all the necessary evidence such as statements, interviews, third party material.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist others with the process of dealing with detained persons<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work closely with victims and witnesses to keep them up-dated on crime status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use a range of systems to conduct research, interrogate and up-date information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare reports, complete prosecution files, itemise witness lists and exhibits for court, HQ, PPU and other agencies, ensuring timeliness and quality of the information provided<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure property procedures are followed, including the appropriate recording, labelling and storage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To liaise and work in partnership with other agencies relevant to the investigation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with the execution of warrants and undertaking searches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Where necessary, attend court and give evidence if required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comply with National Crime Recording Standard and minimum investigative requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain the security and confidentiality of information at all times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide specialist knowledge and skills as required by the unit (e.g. language skills; technical skills in relation to PC\u2019s \/ mobile phones; preparation of information relating to child abuse, domestic violence and other potentially distressing crimes).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Essential experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Detective\/PIP2 or equivalent police experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience within a Public Protection Unit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Apply online or contact Lucia De Felice on 07425 757587.
