We are currently recruiting for a Communications Manager in London.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pay rate:<\/u> <\/strong>550-608 per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contract duration: <\/u><\/strong>Temporary ongoing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Department:<\/u><\/strong> Marketing and Communications<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purpose:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The job holder will be responsible for defining and implementing communications strategies for priority programmes and projects that contribute directly to the client\u2019s mission to protect the public from terrorism.  You will work closely with colleagues across the national network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duties: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Produce innovative and impactive campaign content that engages our external audiences<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Proactively seek content to support our internal and external comms and help promote the client: developing trust and confidence, promoting excellence and success and brand management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Provide expert advice on evaluation and insight from internal and external campaigns to key seniors and relevant stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Collaborate across the Communications Team, and the network to produce highest quality and effective communications products, with due consideration for how the campaign work can be supported and promoted through other comms channels and specialisms to ensure a holistic approach to all of our communications delivery (eg: PREVENT, P&P, Media, Partnerships, Internal, Change, Digital)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Strong quality assurance ability to ensure that all products reach our highest standards<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 The ability to effectively represent the Communications pillar, promoting our brand and reputation, presenting our work to relevant audiences, with confidence and knowledge of the benefit we bring to operational policing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 An advocate for our shared commitment to IDE in everything we do<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Support the wider delivery effort of the communications team and crisis response as part of any national Major incident<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skills:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Essential:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Proven experience (4+ years) leading large scale communications projects, with track record of translating business challenges into successful communication strategies, plans and campaigns<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Ability to use insight and research to plan and refine communications activity to reach and engage target audiences<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Strong understanding of a range of communications disciplines and channels, using knowledge to plan and adapt chosen approach<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Experience of forward planning and managing day-to-day communications and engagement activity, coordinated as part of wider organisational activity<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Strong track record of delivery, including taking responsibility for commissioning and producing high quality content and other deliverables<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Innovative and creative mind-set, bringing new ideas to solve tough challenges<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Evidence of best practice in tracking and measuring the impact of communications and its contribution to wider organisational objectives<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Ability to form effective working relationships across a full range of internal and external stakeholders, including with seniors<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Confidence and credibility in a range of scenarios, including delivering impactful and engaging presentations and communications advice on your projects<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Actively seek out best practice and new ideas, collecting and sharing insights about what performs best to help shape the future agenda for the client\u2019s communications<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Motivation to contribute to key thematic areas within the national communications network, for example Learning & Development, and Inclusion, Diversity & Equality<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Experience and\/or interest in crisis communications skills with the capacity to contribute to under pressure<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desirable:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Expert understanding of digital communications<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Professional interest in the application of behavioural science to communications<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Proficiency in using analytical tools and data to improve communications outcomes<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Management Skills: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Provides leadership and support to direct reports, putting in support strategies where required<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Keenly attuned to the welfare and wellbeing of colleagues<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Sets a great personal example, role modelling ethics and values, and demonstrates self-motivation, energy, creativity, and a commitment to high-quality communication<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Excellent planning skills, and ability to quickly respond to changing priorities<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Conveys positivity and enthusiasm in meeting the challenges of difficult or complex changes and tasks, encouraging, and supporting others to do the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and deliver on competing demands<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Ability to work flexibly in managing a range of activities and able to work independently and as part of a team<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Able to work with external suppliers and manage budgets, timelines and high-quality delivery<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Maintain a supportive network, both to support day to day work, but also to help deliver a coordinated and effective response during critical incidents<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Willing to participate in an out-hour-hours rota and be prepared to work flexibly out of normal office hours if circumstances require it<\/p>\n\n\n\n
