We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Lead in Kilburn.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pay rate:<\/u> <\/strong>PAYE 619.38- 696.20 per day\/UMB 800-900 per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contract duration: <\/u><\/strong>Temporary ongoing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Department:<\/u><\/strong> Technology, Innovation and Solution Delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purpose:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This role is an integral part of Commercial Services and sits in the Technology, Innovation and Solution Delivery team which are responsible for sourcing new technology infrastructure hardware, software and services to deliver on the Commissioner\u2019s mission: More Trust, Less Crime and High Standards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The focus of the role will be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–    Working with operational policing stakeholders on the programme to translate front line policing requirements;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–    Leveraging the knowledge of small medium enterprises and leading global Tech companies to create commercial models and;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–    Delivering market solutions through innovative sourcing to deliver best value for the organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–    Providing innovative and flexible commercial solutions and forming strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duties: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    Strategic delivery and management for Resource Management Programme<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o    Developing commercial approaches that deliver requirements that are in line with business needs, category strategies and market trends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o    The development of commercial strategies and delivery of sourcing requirement<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o    Understands demand by forecasting and planning requirements with internal stakeholders and suppliers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    Understands relevant sourcing options and analysis, and delivers positive outcomes through the procurement process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o    Performing end-to-end strategic sourcing activities and serving as a subject matter expert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o    Works with key stakeholders to develop a clear and agreed view of business requirements and supports business units in articulating their commercial requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o    Advising and providing professional guidance throughout the sourcing process, considering, and evaluating a range of sourcing models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o    Supports the development of options for a business case, including articulating associated benefits and producing supporting arguments for the preferred option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o    Identifies opportunities to develop collaborative partnerships with suppliers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o    Provides a procurement service which delivers demonstrable value for money and compliant goods and services contracts as part of a team of procurement professionals on larger procurement activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o    Leading negotiation relating to commercial activity and has knowledge and experience with negotiation techniques. Leads and guides others in negotiation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o    Understanding and being accountable for sourcing compliance and frameworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    Building and maintaining key relationships with important external stakeholders:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o    Developing key stakeholder relationships, enabling early engagement, and challenging business need and demand. Seeks early active involvement of internal stakeholders in the sourcing process. Internal stakeholders will include colleagues who are users and buyers of the goods and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o    Provision of commercial advice to stakeholders on all aspects of commercial<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o    Engaging, where required, with the relevant senior business lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

o    Working closely with external stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Essential Criteria:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    Knowledgeable in how the technology market works and what drives business decisions, innovations and commercial strategy in consumers and suppliers alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    Excellent understanding of sourcing and procurement methodologies, ideally within a regulated or public sector environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    Evidence of having delivered organisational benefits to customers through effective design and\/or implementation of sourcing for major Technology Programmes of up to \u00a320m in total value, able to describe value add and savings in a strategic context in a complex commercial environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    Experienced in how the market works and what drives business decisions, innovations and commercial strategy for consumers and suppliers alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    Ability to prioritise and manage a demanding workload whilst balancing both operationally urgent and important tasks to deliver to deadlines aligned with strong project management capabilities gained through practical professional experience,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    Experience working and effectively influencing senior stakeholders with or without authority projecting personal impact and credibility at all levels (including senior) of the organisation and the external market, demonstrating an ability to influence, persuade and effectively communicate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    Evidence of inspirational and inclusive leadership, developing a professional culture and building commercial capability. Empowers team members through coaching, mentoring and sharing of expertise\/knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desirable Criteria:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    Experience of working in Contract Management roles or across the commercial life cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022    CIPS qualification \/ IACCM certification (or working towards).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
