{"id":786,"date":"2023-05-16T10:12:48","date_gmt":"2023-05-16T09:12:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/?post_type=jobpost&#038;p=786"},"modified":"2023-05-16T10:12:49","modified_gmt":"2023-05-16T09:12:49","slug":"junior-project-manager-london","status":"publish","type":"jobpost","link":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/?jobpost=junior-project-manager-london","title":{"rendered":"Junior Project Manager (London)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>We are currently recruiting for a Junior Project Manager in London.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Pay rate:<\/u> <\/strong>400-450 Per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Contract duration: <\/u><\/strong>Temporary ongoing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Purpose:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To support the delivery of project(s) or work streams to cost, quality and time standards<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Duties:&nbsp;<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Champion and implement effective project delivery, supporting the vision to attain a worldclass transformation function.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support communication and engagement with project stakeholders, developing and maintaining key relationships and working in partnership to resolve problems to benefit operational policing and the MPS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work with the TD and local project \/ change teams to ensure consistency of project delivery approach.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide direction and leadership for the project delivery team in scope of the role.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the building and sustaining of capacity and capability within the project team to deliver the programme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deputise for the Senior project manager where needed as the key point of contact between the project and the TD.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deliver project outcomes and benefits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the Senior project manager to manage the project, including set-up, management, and delivery, ensuring that the project outputs are delivered to time, cost and quality and meets all TD processes, standards, and reporting requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support co-ordination of the project \/ workstream and its interdependencies, working closely with the project managers for the other projects within the programme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support identifying, managing, and resolving risks, tracking and managing costs and benefits, providing reports as required, and ensuring all outputs meet project requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deputise for the Senior project manager where needed, with authority to make delegated decisions, and be the key contact for the project for stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead project workstreams as required, managing the delivery of key outputs, managing, and resolving risks and providing progress updates to the project manager as required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage stakeholder communications and key messages for the project \/ workstream.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain project \/ workstream plans and associated risks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>A professional qualification in the relevant field is desirable, or willingness to work towards it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional and\/or graduate qualifications in business management or similar field, MSP or PRINCE 2 qualification is desirable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Experience:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Working in a large and complex organization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Influencing, negotiating with, and providing challenge to management-level stakeholders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contributing to a collaborative culture, team culture and an environment of continuous learning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working on complex projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Apply online or contact Terri O&#8217;Keefe on 01925 377 878.
