{"id":725,"date":"2023-04-25T10:14:27","date_gmt":"2023-04-25T09:14:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/?post_type=jobpost&#038;p=725"},"modified":"2023-04-25T10:14:27","modified_gmt":"2023-04-25T09:14:27","slug":"administration-officer-st-helens","status":"publish","type":"jobpost","link":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/?jobpost=administration-officer-st-helens","title":{"rendered":"Administration Officer (St Helens)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>We are currently recruiting for an Administration Officer in St Helens.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Pay rate:<\/u> <\/strong>PAYE 10.60 per hour\/UMB 13.21 per hour.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Contract duration:<\/u><\/strong> Temporary ongoing<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Purpose:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Manage, organise and contribute to the planning, development and monitoring of admin services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Duties:\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To undertake line manager responsibilities where appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure existing and new procedures are understood and consistently applied by administrative staff.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure appropriate communication systems exist e.g., team meetings, briefings etc.<\/li>\n<li>To monitor the deployment of staff to ensure that effective administrative support is maintained.<\/li>\n<li>To participate in recruitment\/induction\/ appraisal\/ training\/sickness for designated staff and apply relevant personnel procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Knowledge: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of systems for office administration<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of IT and computerised systems<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Data Protection and information governance<\/li>\n<li>A good understanding of the principles of customer care<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of services provided by CYPS services\/social care.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of both ICS and EHAT systems<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of St Helens Financial Regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Skills and Abilities:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good verbal and written communication skills with colleagues, the public and other agencies<\/li>\n<li>Ability to take accurate minutes of confidential meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Able to make, implement and review decisions appropriate to the work area.<\/li>\n<li>Organised and systematic<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work as part of a team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Experience:\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years experience working within Office Administration<\/li>\n<li>Experience of communicating with the public, departmental colleagues, and external agencies<\/li>\n<li>Experience of identifying and resolving administrative issues\/problems<\/li>\n<li>Experience of creating and maintaining databases and producing and presenting statistical information<\/li>\n<li>Experience of St Helens Council\u2019s financial procedures and processing of invoices and reimbursement of petty cash<\/li>\n<li>Experience of monitoring administration procedures and workflow against targets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience of supervising clerical staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Business Administration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Apply online or contact Terri O&#8217;Keefe on 01925 377 878.
