We are currently recruiting PSI Legacy Team Leader based in Liverpool.
\n<br>
\nTo supervise a team of Police Staff Investigators (PSI\u2019s)dedicated to the progression of legacy Category B homicides. To review records and documentation obtained during the course of such investigations to ensure legal and procedural compliance and to identify further investigative opportunities and to manage the evidence gathering, file preparation and presentation of evidence at court in relation to Legacy Category B murder investigations.
\n<br>
\n<strong>Knowledge and Experience : <\/strong>
\n\u2022 An in-depth criminal investigation background including evidence of investigating complex and protracted enquiries
\n\u2022 HOLMES 2 Manager Training and experience
\n\u2022 Experience of reviewing murders \/ serious crime investigations
\n\u2022 Experience in managing a team of investigators
\n\u2022 Experience in the roles of statement reader and Office Manager during
\nmurder investigations managed on action logs or HOLMES system
\n\u2022 Experience of authoring complex reports
\n\u2022 Preparation of prosecution files
\n\u2022 Liaising with CPS, legal representatives and other agencies involved in
\ncrime Investigations.
\n\u2022 File management.
\n\u2022 Experience of utilising Niche system.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of law and national procedures in relation to major and
\nserious crime, especially homicide.
\n\u2022 Procedures in relation to RIPA and information handling Disclosure
\n\u2022 Proven inter-personal and communication skills.
\n<br>
\n<strong>Desirable: <\/strong>
\n\u2022 Experience working with major crime analysts.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of major incident room procedures
\n<br>
