We are currently recruiting Police Staff Crime Support Officers.
\nRoles available in York, Scarborough, Harrogate or Northallerton.<\/p>\n
As part of your day to day job, you will be responsible, among other things for taking witness statements, making third party material requests along with contacting victims and witnesses. Other key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the below:
\n\u2022 Phone reviewing from downloads.
\n\u2022 CCTV (designated powers \u2013 if you wear a tabard), review, collection.
\n\u2022 Specialist witness interview\/ Specialist suspect interview (second chair or leading) \u2013 will provide summary or notes- for MG 15 for review by OIC.
\n\u2022 999 and DEMS reviews and summaries.
\n\u2022 Review intelligence, occurrences, CSH records for relevance for disclosure.
\n\u2022 RUI \u2013 4 step investigative update (Victim contact\/witness contact) and VCA compliance.
\n\u2022 Exhibits officer.
\n\u2022 Forensic\/ DFU submission.
\n\u2022 Provide investigative support to PIP 1 response officers (if you hold the requisite skills)
\n\u2022 Ensure PPN\u2018s are completed and updated if applicable.<\/p>\n
The essential skills, experience and qualifications for this role are as follows:
\n\u2022 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
\n\u2022 Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
\n\u2022 Excellent planning skills
\n\u2022 Excellent IT skills and a good working knowledge of MS Suites.
\n\u2022 Experience of working as part of a successful team<\/p>\n
Although not essential, Experience of working in a police or law enforcement environment and holding PIP2 or PIP1 accreditation (current or historic) are desirable.<\/p>\n
