{"id":497,"date":"2022-04-06T09:54:28","date_gmt":"2022-04-06T08:54:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/?post_type=jobpost&#038;p=497"},"modified":"2022-04-06T09:54:28","modified_gmt":"2022-04-06T08:54:28","slug":"police-investigation-officer-pip1s","status":"publish","type":"jobpost","link":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/?jobpost=police-investigation-officer-pip1s","title":{"rendered":"Police Investigation Officer PIP1s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Peel Solutions are currently recruiting Police Investigation Officer PIP1s in Preston<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To provide an investigative response to incidents.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To secure, preserve and gather evidence within Investigations in order to prove or disprove information and establish facts.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To conduct priority and volume criminal investigations, plan and manage own workload, and retain responsibility as the officer-in-case.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To undertake tasks accordingly with accredited powers<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To provide support to victims and witnesses and assess their need for further support throughout the criminal justice process.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To interview victims and witnesses and obtain statements in relation to priority and volume investigations.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To interview suspects in relation to priority and volume criminal investigations.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To use internal IT systems to research and maintain records regarding individuals and investigations.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To complete comprehensive investigation reports and case files.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To present evidence to CPS and at court<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To be flexible in providing cover within the normal place of work and across the county<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To support, where required, the investigation of serious and complex crime.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering a high standard of service with an emphasis on quality at all times.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To promote and comply with Lancashire Constabulary\u2019s obligations under the Equality Act 2010 and Health &amp; Safety, both in the delivery of service and the treatment of others.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To be responsible for improving your performance by participating in the Professional Development Review (PDR) process with your manager.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To carry out any other duties which are consistent with the nature, responsibilities and grading of the post.<\/p>\n<p>When the individual can satisfy the following requirement:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 On successful completion of PIP1 portfolio and subsequent accreditation. To achieve accreditation the post holder must have met the national occupational standards and be signed off by Learning and Development.<\/p>\n<p>AND<\/p>\n<p>Demonstrate satisfactory performance in the post at LC5 having evidenced: \u2013<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Regularly conducting priority and volume crime investigations, planning and managing own workload and retaining responsibility as the officer in the case<br \/>\n\u2022 Providing specialist advice on a regular basis<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Comprehensive knowledge and understanding systems and processes<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Completion of comprehensive investigation reports and case files.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Consistently providing a high level quality of service<\/p>\n<p>Apply online or contact Lucia De Felice on 01925 377 878 for more information.
