{"id":437,"date":"2021-07-22T11:03:01","date_gmt":"2021-07-22T10:03:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/?post_type=jobpost&#038;p=437"},"modified":"2021-07-22T11:03:44","modified_gmt":"2021-07-22T10:03:44","slug":"investigators-kent","status":"publish","type":"jobpost","link":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/?jobpost=investigators-kent","title":{"rendered":"Investigators (Kent)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pay Rate: \u00a318.00 PH<br \/>\nContract: 6 months on going<br \/>\nWorking Hours: 37 Mon-Fri 8:00am \u2013 4:00pm<br \/>\nLocation: 4 vacancies based in Northfleet, 2 vacancies based in Folkestone.<\/p>\n<p>We are currently recruiting Investigators based in Kent on a 6 month ongoing contract.<\/p>\n<p>Assist investigations carried out by the Major Crime Department and, when required, other Departments and Divisions, undertaking a range of duties, including obtaining witness statements, managing exhibits, obtaining and viewing CCTV recordings, and general research investigative duties, in order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of investigations undertaken by the Department.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Interview witnesses and victims of crime, including Achieving Best Evidence (ABE) interviews with vulnerable witnesses and assist in regard to suspect interviews, taking high quality, accurate statements for inclusion into case files and undertaking assessment of the veracity of statements and the potential reliability of witnesses in Court. Perform the role of house-to-house co-ordinator as required.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Manage the seizure and viewing of CCTV tapes, viewing material, analysing information, and recording elements in comprehensive reports of evidential and intelligence value, in order to provide expert evidence in person at court in support of investigations.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Undertake a range of investigative research through Holmes, PNC and Athena and telephony, maintaining accurate records, analysing information, and producing a range of reports, in order to support the investigation of major crime by the department.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Support and advise the families of victims of major crime, providing information and support surrounding case progress and the judicial system, in order to ensure that families receive appropriate support and to assist investigations.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Assist in major crime searches, and act as exhibits officer when appointed, ensuring the integrity of evidence retrieved, recording receipt of exhibits, organising the storage and appropriate security of exhibits, including the handling of hazardous materials and returning items when authorised to do so, in order to ensure the continuity of evidence and the correct recording of physical evidence and property.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Attend Court to represent the Force as case exhibits officer, organising and producing exhibits as requested and providing evidence surrounding the integrity of systems, in order to support the smooth progress of each case through the judicial system.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Build complete and correctly compiled case papers, witness and exhibit lists, undertaking the case disclosure role wherever necessary, incorporating giving evidence in person at court to ensure that high professional standards and evidential integrity are achieved on each case.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and force policy, for example criminal law, PACE and CPIA and RIPA, in order to ensure major crime investigations and documentation is of the highest standard and complies with such legislation and policy.<\/p>\n<p>For more information contact Lloyd on 01925 377 878 or email lloyd@peelsolutions.co.uk<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pay Rate: \u00a318.00 PH Contract: 6 months on going Working Hours: 37 Mon-Fri 8:00am \u2013 4:00pm Location: 4 vacancies based&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","jobpost_category":[88],"jobpost_job_type":[10],"jobpost_location":[79],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/jobpost\/437"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/jobpost"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/jobpost"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=437"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=437"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"jobpost_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fjobpost_category&post=437"},{"taxonomy":"jobpost_job_type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fjobpost_job_type&post=437"},{"taxonomy":"jobpost_location","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fjobpost_location&post=437"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
