{"id":415,"date":"2021-02-09T13:05:34","date_gmt":"2021-02-09T13:05:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/?post_type=jobpost&#038;p=415"},"modified":"2021-02-09T13:05:34","modified_gmt":"2021-02-09T13:05:34","slug":"crime-scene-investigator-runcorn","status":"publish","type":"jobpost","link":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/?jobpost=crime-scene-investigator-runcorn","title":{"rendered":"Crime Scene Investigator (Runcorn)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019re currently recruiting a Crime Scene Investigator based in Runcorn on a 12 month contract.<\/p>\n<p>Working Hours: Full time, 37 hours<br \/>\nLocation: Runcorn<br \/>\nSalary-<br \/>\nattracting 12% shift allowance, weekend enhancements and standby payments.<br \/>\nScale 6 is currently \u00a326,208 \u2013 28,023.<\/p>\n<p>Role:<br \/>\nTo attend and process scenes using specialist, approved techniques to visualise, capture and recover digital and trace evidence, and gather information and intelligence as part of an investigative package suitable for presentation at court and appeals while complying to ISO accreditation standards.<\/p>\n<p>Experience and skills required:<\/p>\n<p>Essential<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Educated to Level 6 in a science related subject or equivalent qualifications\/ significant work based experience.<br \/>\n\u2022 Completed or be prepared to attend the College of Policing Crime scene Investigator course (to be completed within 12 months of commencement in the role)<br \/>\n\u2022 Further nationally accredited training required for the specialist CSI roles,<br \/>\no Fire investigators college of policing course<br \/>\no Trainers accredited trainers\u2019 course<br \/>\no DVI disaster course<br \/>\no CSM course<br \/>\no Digital<br \/>\no Covert<\/p>\n<p>Desirable<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Significant experience in a forensic discipline or science laboratory based environment.<\/p>\n<p>Skills<br \/>\nEssential<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ability to manage and prioritise effectively and efficiently demanding and pressurised workstreams appertaining to major and volume investigations.<br \/>\n\u2022 Good communication skills with the ability to listen to others in accordance with the varied needs of differing situations, individuals, groups and communities.<br \/>\n\u2022 Able to produce concise reports and documents.<br \/>\n\u2022 Able to present complex evidence in a professional manner at major incident briefings, court and at other hearings.<br \/>\n\u2022 Skilled in the use of standard IT packages, systems and\/or databases to fulfil role requirements, including creating visual records for forensic investigations.<br \/>\n\u2022 Able to use resources efficiently in own role and to comply with financial rules and procedures.<br \/>\n\u2022 Able to identify potential opportunities to enhance efficiency and\/or effectiveness within own area of work.<br \/>\n\u2022 Able to break down a straightforward problem into component parts and determine appropriate action, including the evaluation of forensic investigation of crime scenes, and to take decisions and evaluate outcomes.<br \/>\n\u2022 Able to review own performance objectively and to develop and follow an appropriate continuous improvement plan.<br \/>\n\u2022 To develop and carry out specialist CSI functions as a portfolio eg Crime Scene Management, Fire Investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Apply online or contact Lloyd at Peel Solutions for more information.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019re currently recruiting a Crime Scene Investigator based in Runcorn on a 12 month contract.
