Job role:
\nIn support of the Exercise Manager to deliver an effective counter terrorism exercise programme that meets the organisation\u2019s needs. To effectively manage the planning process of live-play exercises, reporting on progress to the Exercise Manager and maintaining accurate records.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities :
\n\u2022 To contribute to the planning and delivery of the rolling programme of Counter Terrorism (CT) Live Play and Tabletop exercises, ensuing effective and timely delivery, as well as maintaining compliance with exercise planning policies and procedures and the prevailing Exercise Strategy.
\n\u2022 To design and implement CT exercise scenarios that are relevant to the mission and the current national threat assessment to allow for the accurate assessment of the organisation\u2019s performance and provide for learning outcomes to be established.
\n\u2022 To provide direct support and guidance to individuals during CT Live-Play and Tabletop exercises to facilitate the effective completion of exercises.
\n\u2022 Through the monitoring and analysis of the performance of exercises, to make appropriate recommendations following the completion of exercises to be fed back into the learning and development cycle to improve organisational effectiveness.
\n\u2022 To supervise the Exercise Planning Coordinator and be their first line manager.
\n\u2022 To provide advice and guidance in relation to exercise planning policies and procedures, as well as the exercise strategy, ensuring consistency and compliance of practice. This includes internal customers as well as external stakeholders.
\n\u2022 To comply with the Government Security Classifications for documentation storage and transmission at Official Sensitive and Secret
\n\u2022 To maintain up to date and accurate records of all exercises, to supervise the drafting the final exercise report (PXR) and to provide regular reporting to the Exercise Manager or others as required.
\n\u2022 To monitor the exercise programme budget to ensure effective budget control, including providing financial reports and analysis to senior managers as required.
\n\u2022 To provide support to all members of the exercise team and Capability Division as required.<\/p>\n
