We are currently recruiting an Investigator in Kent on a 12 Month contract.<\/p>\n

In this role you\u2019ll be required to contribute to the acquisition and development of tactical and strategic intelligence (through targeted research, open-source searches, behavioural, analytical, comparative studies and\/or prevention initiatives focused on serious and organised crime affecting the UK.<\/p>\n

Criminal justice outcomes and disruptions from border force referrals will be delivered by this assignment.<\/p>\n

The role may include;<\/p>\n

Provide advice on legislation, policy, research and tactical options to assist in the planning and implementation of investigations, operations and prevention initiatives.<\/p>\n

Provide tactical and strategic support to the Agency by conducting research, gathering and analysing intelligence and evidence in accordance with legislation and policy.<\/p>\n

Develop target profiles, evidential products and identify prevention opportunities, (as appropriate).<\/p>\n

Conduct statistical analysis to inform management reports.<\/p>\n

Ensure the quality, secure handling and dissemination of intelligence, maintaining confidentiality, sensitivity and a duty of care in line with Agency policy.<\/p>\n

Carry out effective case management, and create, maintain and update departmental records, including operational or project\/programme spreadsheets, case files and monthly reports. Conduct cross match searches, and analyse results using forensic data (as appropriate).<\/p>\n

Promote professional standards and provide advice in relation to matters of misconduct that impact on organisational delivery or the Agency\u2019s reputation (as appropriate).<\/p>\n

Supervise staff or co-ordinate the work of a small team (as appropriate).<\/p>\n

Build good working relationships with both internal and external partners including police forces.<\/p>\n

Conduct relevant health and safety procedures and report issues or identified risks in accordance with health and safety legislation and Agency policy.<\/p>\n

Skills\/experience:
\nPIP1 accreditation is essential (PIP2 accreditation or equivalent experience desirable.)
\nBasic understanding of information management.
\nGood understanding of UK legislation affecting Agency activity.
\nA broad appreciation of the interaction between criminal finances and the Government\u2019s strategy to tackle serious and organised crime using the Proceeds of Crime Act including money laundering, confiscation and civil recovery.
\nInterpersonal\/presentation skills.
\nInformation technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
\nAnalytical\/data interpretation skills.
\nResearch skills.
\nRisk management\/problem solving skills.
\nReport writing\/drafting and presentation skills.
\nNumeracy skills.
\nCall handling\/customer services skills.
\nExperience of analysing information from a wide range of sources.
\nProven experience of working to tight deadlines within a dynamic environment.<\/p>\n
