{"id":251,"date":"2019-06-14T16:37:00","date_gmt":"2019-06-14T15:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/?post_type=jobpost&#038;p=251"},"modified":"2019-06-14T16:37:00","modified_gmt":"2019-06-14T15:37:00","slug":"civilian-investigator-caso-kingston","status":"publish","type":"jobpost","link":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/?jobpost=civilian-investigator-caso-kingston","title":{"rendered":"CIVILIAN INVESTIGATOR &#8211; CASO (KINGSTON)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"job_description\">\n<p>We are currently recruiting a Civilian Investigator (CASO) based in Kingston) on a 12 month contract.<\/p>\n<p>Looking for 2 part time workers at (4 days) or 1 full time and 1 part time (3days).<\/p>\n<p>The Child Abuse Sexual Offences Unit works together with colleagues within the MPS, local authorities, Children\u2019s Social Care and other agencies to safeguard children against abuse. The unit investigates allegations of ill treatment of children, including physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse and neglect.<\/p>\n<p>Their role will include:<br \/>\n\u2022 Trace and interview victims\/witnesses \u2013 as per Operational victim strategy secure accounts including VRI and\/or MG11<br \/>\n\u2022 Liaise with Local Authority CSC re sharing of information and potentially attend strategy meetings.<br \/>\n\u2022 Researching MPS databases for victims\/witnesses\/suspects.<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist officers when processing suspects by conducting searches\/interviews (as directed by the DS)<br \/>\n\u2022 Preparation of relevant documentation for and submission of items\/devices to forensic hubs\/labs for examination<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist officers in reviewing material held by the investigation team, including third party material.<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist officers with preparation of case files\/scheduling of disclosure material<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist IOs with preparation of cases for court. Collection and conveyance of witnesses\/victims as directed by the DS. Support at trial as directed by the DS.
