\nSalary – \u00a317,262 – \u00a318,078<\/p>\n
Main Responsibilities<\/p>\n
To provide a high-quality telephone call handling service to the public and to the Force in accordance with performance targets.<\/p>\n
Where suitable, to provide the first line resolution by giving information to callers from the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) database.<\/p>\n
Work co-operatively with team members and colleagues, contributing positively and constructively to the achievement of team and organisational objectives.<\/p>\n
To maintain and update (for example numbers and departmental changes) the Switchboard directory.<\/p>\n
To monitor and Maintain the Force Voice Mail system to ensure messages are being taken.<\/p>\n
Experience\/Skills
\nA general education to GCSE standard (grades A \u2013 C) or equivalent<\/p>\n
Experience of using Windows based IT systems.<\/p>\n
Some experience of working in a customer services environment.
\nProven ability to maintain a professional service to customers when under pressure.<\/p>\n
The ability to gather information using appropriate questioning techniques.<\/p>\n
Special Conditions
\nRequired to wear a uniform<\/p>\n
Infrequent travel to other locations as required<\/p>\n
Exposure to disturbing\/unpleasant images or tasks<\/p>\n
