{"id":162,"date":"2019-01-25T15:50:56","date_gmt":"2019-01-25T15:50:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/?post_type=jobpost&#038;p=162"},"modified":"2019-01-25T15:50:56","modified_gmt":"2019-01-25T15:50:56","slug":"brexit-spoc-various-locations","status":"publish","type":"jobpost","link":"https:\/\/www.policejobs.co.uk\/?jobpost=brexit-spoc-various-locations","title":{"rendered":"BREXIT SPOC (VARIOUS LOCATIONS)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are currently recruiting 2 Brexit no deal SPOC to assist NPCC in the co-ordination of policing in response to the event of a no deal Brexit outcome for the following locations:<br \/>\nEastern \u2013 Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Essex, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.<br \/>\nYorkshire and Humber (North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Humberside &amp; South Yorkshire)<br \/>\nEast Midlands (Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire)<br \/>\nSouth Wales (Dyfed Powys, South Wales &amp; Gwent)<\/p>\n<p>This is a 12 months contract, reviewable on an annual basis. Some UK and international travel may be required.<\/p>\n<p>Regional SPOC responsibilities for the unit will include:-<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Looking after a cluster of UK police forces on a regional basis, and advising on risk in their thematic areas.<br \/>\n\u2013 Giving regular and effective service and making recommendations to UK police forces within their geographical remit in relation to international tools available for their enquiries.<br \/>\n\u2013 Providing support to the ROCUs as well as their host forces.<br \/>\n\u2013 Developing Regional Force Coordinators in their constituent forces\/ROCUs within each business area i.e. custody, frontline policing, intelligence (to be defined by Management Support and DCI Policy) to ensure that each UK police force is driving activity in the areas which have experienced loss of EU tools.<br \/>\n\u2013 Maintaining close working relationships with each force within their geographical remit to locally identify and train new Regional Force Coordinators.<br \/>\n\u2013 Attending management meetings, liaise daily with Risk\/Management\/Grip and Pace meetings to understand high risk\/high profile cases and mitigate any identified risks.<br \/>\n\u2013 Raising concerns to the Central Unit of non-compliance.<br \/>\n\u2013 Advising and supporting Regional Force Coordinators, providing resilience to their role.<br \/>\n\u2013 Working with Risk Trainers to understand what training gaps exist within UK police forces and providing input to training packages.<br \/>\n\u2013 Continually monitoring how UK police forces within their geographical areas perform in their thematic areas. If performance or issues identified by the Regional Force Coordinators, working with UK police forces to raise awareness and rectify relevant issues.<br \/>\n\u2013 Identifying opportunities in which the four Coordination Units can improve its service.<br \/>\n\u2013 Working with stakeholders, such as the Home Office, NCA, CPS, ACRO and all other operational partners.<br \/>\n\u2013 Providing expertise and specialist advice in relation to foreign national offending to key internal and external stakeholders as well as Senior Leaders.<br \/>\n\u2013 A good working knowledge of EU law enforcement measures; SISII, EAW, ECRIS, Europol, Eurojust, etc.<br \/>\n\u2013 Maintaining personal responsibility for collection, recording, evaluation, information sharing, review, retention and disposal of information in compliance with procedures and legislation.<\/p>\n<p>Key Skills<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 This national role requires an understanding of the National Police landscape, including an understanding of how police engage and interact with other agencies, partners and stakeholders.
