We are currently recruiting a Customer service officer in York on a 3 month contract.
\n27.5 hours per week \u2013 shift pattern. \u00a38.68 per hour<\/p>\n
Main responsibilities:
\nTo receive enquiries from, and give advice to, members of the public either by telephone, in person or in writing, ensuring that they are dealt with in a courteous and efficient manner and that a high-quality service is provided.<\/p>\n
To undertake a number of Front Counter duties associated with, but not limited to:
\n\u2022 Complaints
\n\u2022 Lost and found property reports
\n\u2022 Firearms and weapons surrender
\n\u2022 Driving document productions
\n\u2022 Seized vehicle releases
\n\u2022 Issuing of cautions
\n\u2022 Fixed penalty notices
\n\u2022 Data Protection requests
\n\u2022 Bail appointments
\n\u2022 Orders (including registered sex offenders, football banning)
\n\u2022 Overseas Visitor registrations
\n\u2022 Administration<\/p>\n
And, to provide administrative support to the force, including, but not limited to:
\n\u2022 Warrant card production and management of associated access and systems
\n\u2022 Financial matters such as banking and issuing petty cash
\n\u2022 Travel and Accommodation bookings
\n\u2022 Hospitality requests
\n\u2022 Ringmaster circulations and customer database administration
\n\u2022 Accessing and responding to operational voicemails
\n\u2022 Provision of general administration, statistical reports and action management for local partnership meetings<\/p>\n
To manage visitors to the station, ensuring that relevant security checks are done and that only authorised personnel are permitted access.
\nTo manage contractors at stations, ensuring that only authorised and vetted personnel are given access and that the appropriate paperwork is accurately completed, and relevant departments notified.<\/p>\n
Essential skills and experience:
\nWell-developed communication skills, demonstrable both verbally and in writing.
\nPrevious experience of using Microsoft Office packages such as excel, word and outlook.
\nGood attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
\nExperience of working in a customer service environment is desirable but not essential.<\/p>\n
