National Police Wellbeing Service Driver (Preston)
11th April 2023We are currently recruiting for a National Police Wellbeing Service Driver in Preston.
Pay rate: PAYE 10.90 per hour.
Contract duration: Temporary ongoing
Purpose:
To be responsible for the delivery and collection of the Wellbeing Outreach Vehicles nationally, ensuring that business requirements and objectives are met.
Duties:
- To be responsible for the delivery and collection of the Wellbeing Outreach Vehicles as directed including the transportation and safe storage of both medical equipment and non- medical equipment, clinical supplies whilst ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed.
- To monitor all medical and non-medical consumables on the vehicle providing information to the Fleet Logistics Co-ordinator for ordering purposes.
- To hold responsibility for the checking and maintenance of vehicles and all associated equipment used for including refuelling of the vehicle (using agreed suppliers) as and when required.
- To ensure all necessary administrative functions in relation to handover documents and other documentation are completed fully and in a timely manner.
- To ensure necessary all administrative paperwork including forms, reports and receipts are maintained to ensure access to comprehensive and accurate information.
- To provide a nationwide handover service instructing users on the facilities in the vehicle, the logistics regarding siting and erection of supplementary equipment e.g. awning / gazebo.
- To deliver high quality services to internal and external service users ensuring full compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements, policy and protocols are met.
- Provide excellent customer service by promoting the use of the vehicle and ensuring the user is fully familiar with all aspects of the Outreach Vehicle before it is hand over is completed.
- To be responsible for the monitoring and checking of the vehicle both prior to handover and at pick up. Taking photos as directed of the vehicle for record purposes along with signed handover documents.
- To provide assistance to the Fleet Logistic Co-ordinate as required.
- Demonstrate a strong personal commitment to delivering and achieving value for money, whilst providing high quality service.
- To carry out any other duties which are consistent with the nature, responsibilities and grading of the post.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Full Driving licence – with the ability to drive a Class C vehicle
Knowledge/Experience:
Essential:
– Experience of communicating effectively across a wide spectrum of people
– Demonstrates self-motivation and willingness to develop self within the role
– Experience of working effectively as part of a team
– Experience of maintaining strict confidentiality as and when applicable
– Experience of completing accurate written information
– Experience of gathering and recording information in line with policy and protocol.
– Knowledge of Health & Safety, Equality, Diversity and Data Protection legislation/issues.
Desirable:
– Experience of inputting, updating and maintaining computerised and manual filing/recording systems.
Other:
Essential:
– An acceptable level of sickness absence in accordance with the client’s Attendance Policy.
– To have a flexible approach to working practices and hours particularly but not solely with regards to an emergency event.
– Ability to lift and carry equipment appropriate for the role.
– To have a flexible approach to travel and England and Wales and hours worked, this may include overnight stops.
– Ability to drive up to a Class C vehicle on our client’s business and willing to
undertake and pass an in force driving course.
