Occupational Health Technician (Hertfordshire)

We are currently recruiting for a Occupational Health Technician in Hertfordshire.

Pay rate: PAYE 12.35 per hour

Contract duration: Temporary ongoing

Purpose:

To manage and perform health surveillance and health screening assessments and to ensure that medical standards are met in relation to recruitment and specialised job role requirements. Review test results and appraise the Senior Occupational Health Adviser.

Duties: 

• Triage health questionnaires and collate relevant information for the Senior Occupational Health Adviser /
  team to facilitate an assessment regarding fitness for work.
• Maintain health screening equipment organising annual calibration and ensuring there are sufficient supplies
  of consumables.
• Respond to telephone and e mail queries with regards to health screening providing advice about the relevant
  guidelines or referring to other members of the team as appropriate.
• Coordinate and deliver health promotion activities.
• Maintain departmental IT systems and records pertaining to health screening/surveillance.
• Undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post as
  required.
