Investigative support officer ( Windsor.)

We are currently recruiting an Investigative support officer based in Windsor.

£9.91 per hour. between 3-6 months on going contract.

This is an administrative role within the Domestic Abuse Investigation Unit. Candidates will be providing administrative support to police officers and police staff investigators. Good communication skills required along with basic computer skills and the ability to review information and produce written reports. No police experience required. Psychological screening will be required for this department.

The overall purpose of the role is to:
provide an effective and efficient support function within a mixed economy team of Police Officers and staff, including; administrative tasks, evidence collection and recording tasks on Niche RMS
Provide an accurate and efficient evidence collection support function to a mixed economy team of Police Officers and staff to assist in the investigatory process.
Record witness/interview statements from interviews and ensure section 9 PACE statements are legible, meet the required evidential and quality standards and comply with the CPS guidelines.
Provide an accurate and efficient administrative function for a mixed economy team of Police Officers and staff.
View and capture key evidence, prepare viewing logs and complete recording logs in accordance with identified best practise, national policy and procedure to meet the requirements of OIC and partner agencies.
View CCTV/Media Viewing footage as circumstances dictate; particularly investigative tape reviews, copying relevant footage, obtaining evidence from mobile phones and issuing video-prints when necessary and identifying further investigative opportunities.

Attend court to give specific evidence where required and, including evidence of exhibits and to support the prosecution team.
