Intelligence Officer (Newton Heath)
2nd April 2019We are currently recruiting an Intelligence Officer based in Newton Heath. 6-month ongoing contract.
Main Focus of the Role
To review, research and develop intelligence to assist in the prevention, detection and reduction of crime.
To ensure the effective, prompt and appropriate management of intelligence throughout GMP.
To identify risk and harm (actual or emerging) to the force and divisions.
To Support District and Specialised Units with intelligence collection in the event of a major incident, large scale investigation or force priority/threat.
To record, rate and evaluate intelligence received in the Force Intelligence Branch and deal with that intelligence appropriately, ensuring that the security and confidentiality of all intelligence handled is maintained and complies with disclosure legislation in conjunction with national and local policies affecting the dissemination of intelligence.
You will be required to work shifts, 7am – 11pm, 7 days a week.
