We are currently recruiting a HOLMES Indexer based in Sheffield.
Contract until 31st March 2021
Role:
To provide the HOLMES Indexer role to the Investigations team.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake HOLMES indexing duties as tasked by the HOLMES Manager.
- Ensure the quality, secure handling and dissemination of operational information input onto HOLMES, maintaining confidentiality, sensitivity and a duty of care in line with Operational policy.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Accredited HOLMES
- ACPO major incidents room training.
Desirable
- CPIA/RIPA
Skills and Experience required:
- Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities within the police service, major incident rooms (MIRSAP).
- Understanding of ACPO good practice and guidance into the investigation of serious crime (e.g. MIRSAP and MIM).
- Knowledge of HOLMES system.
- Knowledge of disclosure/exhibit procedures.
- Broad appreciation of organised criminality, nationally and internationally.
- An understanding of law enforcement, prevention techniques and intelligence gathering capabilities.
- Interpersonal/presentation skills.
- Information technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Analytical /data interpretation skills.
- Experience of HOLMES inputting.
- Proven experience of working to tight deadlines within a dynamic environment.
- Previous experience of working with large data sets.
