We are currently recruiting a Disclosure Officer based in London.
Role:
- To ensure sensitive and non-sensitive disclosure schedules and disclosure officer reports are completed in accordance with legal requirements and within the required time scale.
- To identify further lines of enquiry from exhibits and unused material, taking appropriate action to deal with information that is inadequate, contradictory or ambiguous.
- To gather unused material from everyone involved in an operation, ensuring that information has been obtained in accordance with relevant legislation.
- To contact other bodies, including law enforcement (UK and abroad), to request unused material and/or disclosure schedules, acting as Principal Disclosure Officer as appropriate.
- Attend Court as required.
- Fully conversant with disclosure in complex criminal cases;
- Have a thorough knowledge of the Attorney General’s guidelines on disclosure 2013, the CPS Disclosure Manual and Judicial Protocol on the Disclosure of Unused Material.
- Have acted as disclosure officer in complex criminal cases; and
- Have knowledge and experience of international disclosure issues
