We are currently recruiting a Disclosure Officer in the International Corruption Unit (ICU) based in Central London.

ROLE SUMMARY:
The ICU are in the process of prosecuting a complex case under the Bribery Act 2010.
CPS have appointed Counsel who has asked that an independent dedicated disclosure officer be appointed to oversee the case.

ROLE PROFILE / RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure sensitive and non-sensitive disclosure schedules and disclosure officer reports are completed in accordance with legal requirements and within the required time scale.
To identify further lines of enquiry from exhibits and unused material, taking appropriate action to deal with information that is inadequate, contradictory or ambiguous.
To gather unused material from everyone involved in an operation, ensuring that information has been obtained in accordance with relevant legislation.
To contact other bodies, including law enforcement (UK and abroad), to request unused material and/or disclosure schedules, acting as Principal Disclosure Officer as appropriate.
Attend Court as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential
Fully conversant with disclosure in complex criminal cases;
Have a thorough knowledge of the Attorney General’s guidelines on disclosure 2013, the CPS Disclosure Manual and Judicial Protocol on the Disclosure of Unused Material.
Have acted as disclosure officer in complex criminal cases; and
Have knowledge and experience of international disclosure issues.
