Covert Archive Assistant (Guildford)

We are currently recruiting a Covert Archive Assistant based in Guildford.

The Covert Archive Assistant (CAA) will have a good understanding of MoPI and CPIA 1996 and will suit anyone who has worked in a Covert Authorities, Telecommunications Liaison or Source Handling.

The role includes reviewing electronic and paper archives establishing the crime types, identifying whether detected or not and if detected the outcome.

The CAA will apply the MoPI retention time parameters based on the foregoing information and recommending the record for Retention or Deletion. This information will be presented in spreadsheet format to the Senior Responsible Officer for them to make the decision in terms of weeding the files.
